LNMU UG 1st Merit List – Lalit Narayan Mithila University Darbhanga has released the first merit list for admission to four year undergraduate courses in the session 2023-27 on the official website. From this year, four year undergraduate course has been started in all the universities of Bihar. Mithila University has released the first list for admission in BA, B.Sc, B.Com under CBCS (Choice Based Credit System). According to the admission directory issued by the university, the first merit list for admission in graduation session 2023-27 is to be released on June 20. Due to some unavoidable work merit list has been released today 2nd July 2023. LNMU UG 1st Merit list Download

The last date for online application for admission in session 2023-27 in Mithila University Darbhanga was 12 June 2023, but the university extended the online application date for 3 days from 18 June to 20 June. In some subjects more applications than seats have been received, while in some subjects very few applications have been received. Most applications have been received in the history subject. The total number of applications is more than 1 lakh 73 thousand. Some students only registered, they did not fill the form completely. Some mistakes and some confusion were also noticed in filling the online application.

The university also released the provisional merit list so that students can check their information and make online corrections (if any), however, the name of the major subject and college cannot be changed.

This course will be completed in total 8 semesters i.e. 4 years. If you want to take graduation honors degree, then you have to study for the whole 8 semesters. If you just want to take a simple degree, then you can leave after studying for 6 semesters i.e. 3 years.

Semester 1 Subject Details

  • Before 2023, the study of Honors subject and General subject used to be separate, but now the study of General subject has been abolished.
  • Now the candidate will choose any one subject (of his stream) from Arts, Science, Commerce as his major subject. After completion of studies, the student will get the degree of Honors in this major subject.
  • Major subject is like an honors subject, minor subject and interdisciplinary subject is like a subsidiary subject.
  • In the second and third semesters, there will be paper for AEC (Ability Enhancement Course), SEC (Skill Enhancement Course), and VAC (Value Added Course) but the options (subjects) inside them will be different from the first semester.
  • There will be a Mid Semester Test in the form of Internal Examination (CIA) in each paper followed by University Level Written Examination (External Examination) (ESE) at the end of the semester

Admission Fee

For graduation, a uniform fee has now been kept in all the universities of Bihar. Semester wise admission fee details are given below.
  • Admission Fee (Semester 1st) - Rs 2255 /-
  • Examination Fee - Rs.600 /- per semester
  • Registration fee - Rs 600 /-
  • Lab fee Rs. 600/- per semester for the subject having practical classes (Science, Geography, Psychology, Home Science, Music, ..)
  • Fee for UG Certificate / UG Diploma / UG Degrees / UG Degrees Honours with research will be rupees Rs. 600/-(Six hundred) per each.
  • Apart from this there is no charge
