Ever since the 4-year Graduation system has been implemented in Bihar, more than half of the students taking admission in it remain confused about the syllabus of their subjects. Although, all the universities and some colleges have uploaded the syllabus on their website but due to CBCS (Choice based credit system) being new, it becomes difficult to understand it in the beginning. Syllabus of all the regular universities of Bihar like Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) Darbhanga, Patna University, Patliputra University, Magadh University, Munger University, BRABU MUZAFFARPUR i.e. Bihar University, Jay Prakash Narayan University, Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Purnea University, etc. will now remain the same, all the evaluation will be based on the Credit system. In the semester system, every semester students have to give internal exam/CIA (continuous internal assessment) and mid-semester exam and also external exam/ESE (end semester exam) and only after passing both the exams, students pass a semester. Whether it is internal exam or external exam, in both the exams the question paper is set from the syllabus and the syllabus contains all the information.

The first thing in the preparation of any exam is the syllabus, it is the syllabus that tells us how much and what all topics we have to study for that exam and after that comes the previous year question paper. For all students enrolled in the first semester, this article provides the syllabus for only the MJC/Major subjects, also known as Honours subjects.
