Students of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga will now be able to get certificates from home. - Now the big problems of the students of Darbhanga, Samastipur, Begusarai and Madhubani will end.
- LNMU (Lalit Narayan Mithila University) has started an online helpline and portal for students.
- Now there is no need to stand in long queues for migration certificate and provisional certificate.
- From 20 August 2025, you will be able to apply online for the certificate.
- Initially there will be dual mode (online + offline), gradually it will be made completely online.
- The provisional certificate will be valid for 6 months after downloading online.
- The migration certificate will be downloaded only once, and if taken online, it will not be available offline.
- The university has also put a guide video on the website from August 17, so that students will be able to easily learn how to run the portal and which documents are required.

How to Apply online for Certificate
- To register you have to go to this website "https://studenterp.lnmu.ac.in/"
- After that you have to click on "New User"
- After that you have to fill all the information correctly like: Registration number, Student name, Father's name, Mother's name, Date of birth, Email ID,. Select your Department/Subject, Select your Faculty (eg. Arts, Science, Humanities, Law, ETC.), Select your Course (BA, B.Sc, ETC.), Select College, Select Gender, Enter Aadhar Number, Enter Mobile Number,
- After that click on "Register" button.
- After that a popup of "Registration done" will appear on the screen and a message will be sent to your email.
- The message sent to your email will contain a link to create a password.
- Click on "Set Password" (this will be written in the message sent to your email) After that create a password (note down the password) After the password is created, your registration is complete.
- Now you will have to go to the link "https://studenterp.lnmu.ac.in/" again. After that enter your email ID and password (which you have just created) and click on the "Login" button, your account will open.
- This is your registration on this portal. Now we will see how to fill the form.
- After logging in to the LNMU student portal, you have to click on the tab/button of "Migration/Provisional"
- After the second page opens, you will see a small button that says "Apply for/Provisional", you have to click on it
- After that a form will open in which you have to fill in the details
- In the form, enter details like: - Student's name in English and Hindi, select the provisional or migration for which you want to apply, enter the registration number and year from your admit card, session, examination year, father's name, university exam name (will be on the admit card), address, university roll number, department/college, subject, department/faculty name, fill all these correctly
- After that click on the "Submit" button
- After that you have to upload the documents
- After the documents are uploaded, click on the "Submit" button again
- After that check the form filled by you and the documents uploaded
- If you see something wrong in the form, click on the "Edit Form" button below and make corrections.
- If everything is filled correctly, click on the "Final Submit" button.
- Then a popup will appear on the screen, click on "Yes, submit it!"
- Your form will be completed and the option to check its status will start appearing.

- CLC will be required in the case of Migration certificate
- The list of form(s) applied for by you will be visible on the "Provisional/Migration" screen.
- In that line, a column with "Action" written on it will be visible. In that column, a down arrow type box will appear, you have to click on it.
- You will see 3-4 options in it (like Payment, Download E-certificate, Payment History, Form Timeline) in which you have to click on the "Pay" option and make the online payment.
