Bihar UG Admission : Online application has started for admission in four-year undergraduate course in all the universities of Bihar. Since it is being implemented from this year, many students are still confused about this course, all are thinking that they will have to study for the whole 4 years. Although the subject wise syllabus of this course has not been released yet, but clearing a doubt, a notice has been issued from the Governor's office. Bihar 4 Years Graduation Course

Admission will be done simultaneously in all the undergraduate courses of the University of Bihar, for which the Raj Bhavan has issued a notice. BA, BSc, BCom course will now be of 4 years (Under CBCS System). The draft and syllabus for the graduation session 2023-27 has been prepared. This year, including Patna University, admission will be taken on the basis of 12th marks in all the universities of Bihar like Mithila University, Bihar University, Patliputra University, etc.

The new syllabus will be implemented in all universities from this year itself. Let us tell you that from session 2023-27, the syllabus and admission fees of all the universities of Bihar will remain the same. 

Bachelor's degree will be completed in three years

There will be no compulsion of 4 years of study for bachelor's degree in Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). Students will be able to get bachelor's degree even in 3 years. After the fourth year of studies, the option of going for postgraduate or direct research will be open. Students who want to leave studies in their 3rd year can get 3rd year bachelor's degree, they will have to complete as many credit scores required for this degree. Those who will get bachelor's degree in only three years will have to do master's degree in 2 years. Those who take a four-year bachelor's degree with research will get a master's degree in one year.

• General students will have to study only 3 years for bachelor's degree
• Students can take 4 years degree as per their wish (if they want to pursue higher education and take admission in such university where 4 years degree is necessary). This option will be available only to those students who will obtain grades above the prescribed grade.
• General bachelor's degree in 3 years and bachelor's degree with research in four years.
• PG (Post Graduate) will be of 2 years (4 semesters) for a 3 year degree holder.
• PG (Post Graduate) will be of 1 year (2 semesters) for a 4 year degree holder.

The Principal Secretary to the Governor has issued a letter clarifying these things.

CGPA is important

It is being said that after 6 semesters in 3 years, the title of Bachelor Honors will be given in the major subject. Although the syllabus is being prepared now, the rest of the things will be clear only after the release of the syllabus. 7.5 CGPA marks will be necessary to proceed in 7th semester. It is expected that by the first week of June the syllabus will be prepared and all these things will be cleared.
