Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga's PhD Admission Test 2024 (PAT-2024) is to be held on 10th January 2026 (proposed date), for which the university has issued a notification and is accepting online application forms. This article provides you with a link to download the question paper for Paper 1 of LNMU PAT-2023 and also a link to download the question paper for Paper 1 of PAT-2020, PAT-2021-22.

Basic idea of ​​PhD test pattern:

In the written test, candidates have to appear for two papers. One paper is general, meaning the same for all candidates, and the second paper contains questions from the subject for which the candidate has applied. The qualifying marks for reserved candidates is 45% and for unreserved/general candidates is 50%. All qualified candidates are issued call letters for interview.

In the PAT-2024 notification:

• Paper 1: 50 questions worth 100 marks (each carrying 2 marks) - will be objective questions (MCQs).
• Paper 2: 9 questions worth 100 marks (from Mithila University's PG syllabus) - will be subjective (descriptive). Type A: 4 questions of 5 marks each, total 20 marks. Type B: 3 questions of 10 marks each, total 30 marks. Type C: 2 questions of 25 marks each, total 50 marks
