VAC Swachh Bharat Syllabus: All the universities of Bihar are running a 4-year graduation, Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) or in common language it can also be called semester system which is being run under NEP 2020. Along with other subjects, there is also Value Added Course (VAC) in Graduation 1st semester and it includes 4-5 subjects, one of which is Swachh Bharat. According to the notice issued by Raj Bhavan Patna, the question paper of VAC 1st semester (in external exam) should be objective type (70 mcq) but it has been seen in only a few universities of Bihar, for example Tilka Majhi Bhagalpur University, Lalit Narayan Mithila University,.. However, this syllabus is applicable in all the regular universities of Bihar including Patna University. The pattern may be different but the syllabus is the same for all universities.

Suggested Activities: List of activities to be undertaken:
  • Identify plastic and e-waste in and around the institution and suggest innovative technologies to minimize wastage
  • Identify events/fests that generate maximum waste and ways to minimize it.
  • Visit canteen/shops and track the lifecycle of wet/dry waste in and around the institution and document the findings in the form of a Project Report.
  • Conduct interviews of stakeholders to understand the level of awareness.
  • Conduct a Clean Audit of the Institution and identify areas for action.
  • Conduct cleanliness drives.
  • Organise Swachhata Pakh wada meetings, rallies, and mobilization camps within the identified
  • communities.
  • Students may participate in the Swachh Bharat Internship programme
  • If required, students can share their experiences in the form of a Project Report
  • Any other Practical/Practice as decided from time to time
