5. Describe the chemical structure of DNA.

6.  Explain the following terminology, water potential, solute potensial and turgor potential. How they are related to each other?

7.  What is transpiration. Discuss the mechanism of opening and closing of stomata in the light of modern concept.

8. Describe the energetics TCA cycle.

9. What is Auxin? Discuss the physiological role in plants.

10. Give a brief account on any two of the following:

(a) Photoperiodism

(b) Kranz-anatomy

(c) Emerson Effect

(d) Fermentation
