LNMU Admission notice of PGDGC Sem-I Session 2022-23 - Duly filled application form for Admission in One Year PG Diploma Course (Add On) in Geriatric Care (Old Age Care and Nutrition) Semester-I Session 2022-23 from eligible candidates with 45% marks in aggregate at U.G. (Graduation) (Hons./General) Examination in any subject in regular or distance mode from a recognised University will be accepted on & before 15.06.2023 in prescribed proforma obtainable from Institute of Gerontology & Geriatrics (IGG) with Prospectus on payment of Rs 300/- only. LNMU university ke website lnmu.ac.in pe bhi notice dekh sakte hai. Course ke baare me jankari le lijiye uske baad notice me admission date dekh lijiye. Admission process 02.12.2023 se 05.01.2024 tak chalegi.

What is Geriatric Care Course in English and Hindi ?

• The kind of service/protection and care that young children require. In the same way, the elders of old age also need service / protection and care. Because there is no difference between small children and elders.
• When people step into old age after youth, they need adults to take care of themselves because after reaching a certain stage of old age, their body and mind are no longer able to take care of themselves. Can do
• In the geriatric course, students are given the status of the elderly within the community, merits and demerits of joint families and nuclear families, rehabilitation of the elderly and how to deal with their problems, nutritional knowledge related to the elderly, social security measures and their implementation, old age Attempts to understand the mental state of the elderly, emotional state, dietary management of the elderly, psychological analysis of the elderly, basic rules/principles of care in old age are provided. Apart from this, the students associated with this course also have to go door to door and prepare reports on the problems of the elderly.
• One can easily find employment in the field of Geriatrics. Professionals working in the field of Geriatrics Care are also called as Eldercare.
• The work of Geriatrics (Geriatrics) professionals is mainly to serve the elderly people undergoing old age or to serve physically disabled persons.

• जिस प्रकार की सेवा / सुरक्षा व देखभाल की जरूरत छोटे बच्‍चों को होती है। ठीक उसी प्रकार अधिक आयु के बुजुर्गों को भी सेवा / सुरक्षा व देखभाल की आवश्‍यक्‍ता होती है। क्‍योंकि छोटे बच्‍चों व बुजुर्गों में कोई अंतर नहीं होता है।
• जब लोग जवानी के बाद वृद्धावस्‍था के दौर में कदम रखते हैं, तो उन्‍हें खुद की देखभाल करने के लिये व्‍यस्‍कों की जरूरत पड़ने लगती है क्‍योंकि बुढ़ापे की खास स्‍टेज पर पहुंचने के बाद उनका शरीर व दिमाग इस लायक नहीं रहता है कि वह खुद की देखभाल कर सकें।
• जेरियाट्रिक पाठयक्रम में Students को समुदाय के अंदर बुजुर्गों की स्थिति, संयुक्‍त परिवारों तथा एकल परिवारों के गुण – दोष, बुजुर्गों के पुनर्वास तथा उनकी समस्‍याओं का निपटारा करने का तरीका, बुजुर्गों से संबंधित पोषाहार संबंधी ज्ञान, सामाजिक सुरक्षा संबंधी उपाय व उनका क्रियान्‍वयन, बुढ़ापे में वृद्धजनों की मानसिक स्थिति, भावनात्‍मक स्थिति समझने का प्रयास, बुजुर्गों का आहार प्रबंधन, बुजुर्गों के मनो‍वैज्ञानिक विश्‍लेषण, Old Age में देखभाल के आधारभूत नियमों / सिद्धांतों की जानकारी प्रदान की जाती है। इसके अलावा इस पाठयक्रम से जुड़े विद्धार्थियों को घर घर जाकर बुजुर्गों की समस्‍याओं पर रिपोर्ट भी तैयार करनी पड़ती है।
• Geriatrics के क्षेत्र में आसानी से रोजगार पा सकते हैं। Geriatrics Care के क्षेत्र में काम करने वाले प्रोफेशनल बंदों को एल्‍डरकेयर के नाम से भी पुकारा जाता है।
• जेरियाट्रिक्‍स (गेरियाट्रिक्‍स) प्रोफेशनल्‍स का काम मुख्‍य रूप से वृद्धावस्‍था के दौर से गुजर रहे बुर्जुर्गों की सेवा अथवा शारीरिक रूप से अक्षम व्‍यक्तियों की सेवा करना होता है।
